Woman’s pooch goes missing after dog walker faints

A distraught Manhattan woman says her adorable little pooch is missing after a dog-walker fainted during their stroll in Canarsie — and the canine ran off.

Meredith McNaughton said she was on vacation just before Christmas in New Orleans when she suddenly received a text from the dog walker that said the lovable Shih Tzu named Lily had gone missing.

“I heard my phone vibrating in my purse,” McNaughton told The Post.

“I look up at the table and I say ‘We have a crisis. The walker lost Lily.'”

She got on a flight back to Newark airport at 6 a.m. Christmas Eve and immediately started searching for Lily.

“I hope that she is alive and warm and is inside. We really miss her,” McNaughton said after searching for the pup.

“Our gut instinct is that someone has her. We are hoping that they return her.”

The woman is offering a $3,500 reward for information leading to the return of her dog.
